Rae Robison brings an extensive professional career in film, television, theme park, and stage design in Los Angeles, in addition to years of teaching in higher education. Working as both a professional designer, director, and actor, Ms. Robison has been a part of over 150 stage productions in the United States and Europe, seven feature films, and several television pilots. Two of Rae’s film shorts have gone to the Sundance Film Festival, the feature film Closing the Deal received awards at the Toronto Film Festival, and her costume work with Walt Disney’s Imagineering can be seen at EuroDisney in Paris and Disneyland Tokyo. Rae has also received numerous Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival recognitions for her work on seven mainstage productions at Central Missouri State University and served as the Region V Costume Parade Director for two years. In Los Angeles she was noted for outstanding costume design by the Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, and the L.A. Theatre Guild for her work on Harold and Maude and The Seagull at the Will Geer Theatricum, Measure 4 Measure at the Open Fist Theatre, and King Lear at the Pasadena Shakespeare Company. As an active member of U.S.I.T.T., Rae continues to work with theatre technology and expanded teaching in computer applications and through her design work.
